Welwyn Garden City Orchestra and Chorus

The Welwyn Garden City Music Society consists of an Orchestra and a Chorus who rehearse separately but come together to give approximately 4 concerts a year.

The Welwyn Garden City Music Society is open to all, we perform around four concerts each year and welcome new members. As the town's oldest society we are now celebrating our 99th Season.

Rehearsals take place in Templewood School, Pentley Park, Welwyn Garden City from 7:45-9:45pm, Chorus on Mondays and Orchestra on Tuesdays during term time.
Our Music Director and conductor is Dr James Ross. Chorus Master is Crispin Lewis. Our other professionals are Philippa Hanson - Leader and Barbara Manning - choir accompanist.

Participating in music is good for you. It can reduce stress, lead to better overall health and even help people to recover from heart attacks and strokes. It is a sociable activity that can help to keep the brain active, whilst bringing together people of all ages.
