International Woman's Day March 8th
International Women's Day (IWD) has been running for over 100 years. IWD is calling for all women to use their skills to help change the world for the better and to remember woman throughout history who have used their creativity and their vision to help move the world forward for us and generations to come.
The BBC Newsround reminds us about the people who changed history for woman stating 'More than one million women and men attended IWD rallies in Europe, campaigning for women's rights to work, vote, be trained, to hold public office and end discrimination'

NHS Relaunch the Act F.A.S.T Campaign
The Act F.A.S.T. campaign is encouraging people who recognise any single one of the symptoms of stroke, in themselves or others and to call 999 immediately.
NHS have launched an updated Act F.A.S.T. campaign as stroke strikes every five minutes in the UK - and can change lives in an instant. Yet the pandemic has seen a significant fall in stroke admissions and 1,413 excess deaths from stroke between 21 March 2020 and 22 January 2021 (7% higher than expected).

As long as the pandemic figures are still reducing Herts Health walks will be opening again soon.Do keep an eye on their website or check the current Lockdown rules roadmap if you aren't sure of the new rules.

Whilst we are waiting for the lockdown rules to be lifted, Herts Health walks are asking for people to share their walks by taking selfies on their favourtite walking spots. They will feature their favourites on their Health Walks social media pages including Facebook and Twitter, Hertfordshire County Council's Instagram page as well as future Walking in Hertfordshire e-Bulletins.

The Better Health Campaign is here to help you quit smoking. Its not just here for you on No Smoking Day its here all year round. The Better Health No Smoking Campaign can support you via the; No Smoking app and their Quit smoking plan. They can direct you to Quit smoking aids and direct you to your local Quit smoking service.

The last year has been difficult for many of us. Stress and concern about our health is on the rise. For smokers this has pulled them in two directions. On the one hand, the chances of smokers successfully quitting are has high as they've ever been. On the other, smokers experiencing stress and mental distress are more likely to be smoking more.
