Welwyn Hatfield Healthy Hub Festival 2nd October 1pm-3.30pm

Looking for a bit of help getting your body or your mind back into shape after the pandemic? Then why not pop along to the Welwyn Hatfield Healthy Hub Festival and find out about all the free health and wellbeing services available in the community.There will also be some free taster sessions and free refreshments.

So far we have stalls booked in from Weight Watchers, Shape Up, the New Leaf Recovery College, Herts Mind Network, Terrance Higgins Trust, Mind in Mid Herts, NHS Health Checks, Hart's Mind network, Hertwise and Royal British Legion.

Come and see us in Hatfield and Wewlyn Garden City Libraries every 3rd week of the month and Hatfield Foodbank.

Our team will be there along with guest services operating free programmes to sign up to for the following;

Weight management, Stopping smoking, Mental health support, Digital Inclusion Projects and the Healthy Hub Team can help refer you onto local programmes that can help

BEEZEE FAMILIES COMES TO RIDGEWAY ACADEMY WITH THEIR FREE 12 WEEK COURSE TO A HEALTHIER, HAPPIER FAMILY

Family course

A fun, free, family-focused healthy lifestyles course, BeeZee Families, is coming to Ridgeway Academy. Aimed at 5-15 year olds and their families, the course covers topics from healthy snacking, balanced meals, portion size and keeping active together.

WELWYN GARDEN CITY Ridgeway Academy Mondays 17:00 - 19:00 Age 5 - 15 Starts 20th September for 12 weeks

The Beezee Bodie team of family nutritionists are experts at engaging children around healthy eating and fun exercise, and have plenty of tricks to help you and your kids turn a good behaviour into a healthy habit for life! Kids will cook healthy meals, take part in fun games and sports, and make loads of friends!

Welwyn Garden City United reform church celebrates100 years of worshiping in Welwyn Saturday 18 September 2021 @10 am - 4pm

WGC URC Celebration 100 years

The WGC United Reformed Church is celebrating 100 years of worshipping together in Welwyn Garden City and inviting you to join us on Saturday 18 September to be part of our celebrations.

Please come along and view the history of the church over the past century as well as the original building plans which will all be on display.

As well as a variety of songs from a Gospel Choir there will be several History Talks an the opportunity to place a photograph and a written memory of a loved one who has passed away during the Pandemic in a sealed envelope which will be buried in a Time Capsule at a later stage as part of a Commemorative Service.

Just Talk, Herts multi-agency mental health campaign for young people, has been shortlisted for Mental Health Innovation of the Year at the HSJ Awards 2021

Being shortlisted recognises Just Talk's outstanding contribution to healthcare in what has been an exceptional and challenging period across the sector. 

Just Talk's mental health campaign encourages children and young people to widen their toolkit of coping strategies and normalises activities to protect their mental health, including talking and reaching out for support if they are struggling. This positive campaign involves an extensive network of parent/carers, young ambassadors and more than 35 partners from Hertfordshire's mental health system; including NHS, public services, education settings, voluntary, community and social enterprises. The scale of the Just Talk campaign, which has continuous collaboration at its heart, is unique.
