Our Healthy Hub Pop Up Clinics are taking place, every 3rd week of the month

  • Tuesday at Hatfield Library and Hatfield Foodbank

  • Wednesday at Wewlyn Garden City Library 

Our team will be there, along with special guest services, operating free programmes for the following;

Weight management, NHS Health Checks, Mental health support, Addiction support, Digital Inclusion Projects, Stop Smoking, Personal Development courses, Healthy eating, Homelessness support services, Energy Saving services, and much more!

TITLE OF JOB: Outreach Emotional Based School Avoidance (EBSA) Worker

LOCATION: East Herts - Bishops Stortford, Sawbridgeworth, Buntingford, Ware, Hertford and all surrounding villages

SALARY:£26,999 per annum pro rata

HOURS:15 hours a week. Term time only plus two weeks

CONTRACT: Fixed term, part-time contract from w/c 1st January 2022 - 31st December 2022in the first instance due to funding

NESSie is looking for an energetic and positive team player to join our service, to work in partnership with parents, schools and professionals to reduce the number of children and young people being absent from school due to Emotional Based School Avoidance and support their successful reintegration back into the classroom.

TITLE OF JOB: Secondary Transition Worker Role

LOCATION: Schools in Welwyn and Hatfield

SALARY:£26,999 per annum pro rata

HOURS:13 hours a week. Term time only plus two weeks

CONTRACT: Fixed term, part-time contract from w/c 1st January 2022 - 31st July 2022 in the first instance due to funding

NESSie are looking for an energetic and positive team player, to join their service, providing support for children and young people, transitioning from primary to secondary schools.

The role is predominantly working with children and young people in groups or one-to-one. Strategies that prove successful, would then be shared with the family and teacher to promote a continuous supportive approach.

Art and Craft Community Market, White Lion Square is every first Saturday of the month with the Farmers Market too.

If you can't work, maybe you have an illness, disability, mental health condition but have talent creating art or crafts then please apply to join H'arts in Mind and sell your items. You will be welcome.

Advice includes checking what time the sun is setting, wearing bright clothes and taking lots of snacks. The ParksHerts Project provides a single online point of access for information about Hertfordshire's parks and open spaces to encourage residents to make more of our valuable local spaces and visit parks they may not have previously explored. The useful activity selector on the front page of the website helps you choose a park according to who's going and what you want to do, whether that's getting some fresh air, making a day of it or taking it easy.

GATE Herts is a community-led organisation, working in Hertfordshire and surrounding areas to promote awareness of the issues that affect the Gypsy, Roma and Traveller Communities (GRT). They seek to resolve issues that confront GRT communities so that they develop pride and confidence to become more included and valued at all levels of society.

Welwyn Hatfield Youth Awards 2021 are now open

Star with lots of colours

Welwyn Hatfield Youth Awards have been organised by Welwyn Hatfield Youth Council and aims to celebrate the diverse achievements of the young people in our borough.

The awards recognise young people aged 11-19 who live, work or are educated in the borough and have accomplished outstanding achievements or gone above and beyond to help others.

Categories in which you can nominate for are;

·      Young Sportsperson

·      Young Volunteer

·      Young Carer

·      Inspirational Young Person
